Emissions Testing

Ludex Auto is one of only a few local automotive shops that offer emissions testing under the new Ontario Drive Clean emissions program. You can read more about the new program at Ontario's Ministry of Environment website DriveClean.com.

Emissions Repair

Ludex Auto is still a fully certified Ontario Drive Clean repair facility. We have been repairing emission controls on cars for the Drive Clean program since its inception in 1999!

The New Program

As of January 2013, there is a new Ontario Drive Clean program in effect. Ludex Auto is excited to remain a part of this program!

The new Drive Clean test is faster and more accurate. The on-board diagnostic or “OBD” test works on most light-duty vehicles in Ontario from the 1998 model year or newer. These vehicles have on-board computers that monitor the engine and emissions system.The new test reads the emissions information in your vehicle’s computer and can detect problems that often lead to poor performance, high emissions or poor fuel economy.
